"The contribution from the Helping Hands Program has been received with sincere thanks and appreciation. Donations such as yours keep this ministry available to people coming to Billings for medical visits. Since 1982 The Lutheran Center has provided a place of affordable comfort to people from all over the region and country that travel to Billings for their medical needs. Some visit loved ones experiencing long stays at one of the medical facilities; others are here due to an emergency or accident and end up staying for medical care far from their initial destination. Whatever the medical reason, The Lutheran Center provides a place of hope, comfort and support for about 330 people a year. Next June will mark two years at our first owned property. From renting to ownership has proven to have changed the way the volunteer board of directors governs the facility, and our financial responsibilities have increased considerably. What hasn't changed is our ministry to people of all faiths who are welcomed to the center daily. In this economy The Lutheran Center is needed now more than ever for those people who travel far or have to stay long for their medical services.
