Plant your perennials, trees and shrubs this fall


Have you ever noticed the daily changes that fall brings? And it's not only to your yard, but to your household as well? Lighter summer fare is gradually replaced with heartier comfort foods. Jackets and sweatshirts that are welcome in the frosty mornings are tossed aside in the warm afternoons. And I always get a feeling like I'm racing the clock trying to finish up outdoor projects before the snow flies. However, I always find time to enjoy the show of colors that are starting to appear. I've put together a chart with a few of my favorites. Remember, fall is a great time to plant perennials, trees and shrubs. Many garden centers have inventory sales in the fall.
