Make Beautiful Memories On Grandparents Day

As summertime draws to a close, we’re reminded that Grandparents Day is approaching soon! Usually celebrated on the first Sunday after Labor Day, the occasion presents a wonderful opportunity for children and grandparents to learn more about each other.

To make beautiful memories on Grandparents Day, have children send grandparents a beautiful bouquet of flowers, gift baskets, or long-lasting plants as a token of their love and appreciation. Remember that Gainan’s Flowers delivers to all residents, nursing homes, senior communities and assisted living facilities throughout the Billings area or nationwide. And if you’re able to spend time with grandparents on their special day, take a look at a few of our fun activity ideas or come up with one of your own!

Send Beautiful Thoughts

Grandparents will love to receive these Lovely Lavenders, a luxurious bouquet of fragrant Oriental lilies and lavender roses with accents in a textured glass vase.

Or, for a fresh and sweet design, choose European Splendor. Low and lush, this European-style of hydrangea, garden roses, gerbera daisies, fragrant stock and more arrive in a keepsake wooden box for a stylish display.

For your greenthumb grandparents, Gainan’s Garden is the perfect blend of complementary foliage and a large blooming plant. Artfully arranged in a galvanized metal faux tool box, we have hand-selected plants to combine color and texture for an outstanding design. The unique design is accented with dried branches and moss.

Pink lemonade, anyone? Send our Glorious Day bouquet anywhere nationwide! This stunning summertime bouquet of pink and yellow roses adds an instant smile to anyone’s face. Elegant pink and yellow roses are contrasted with green bupleurum and variegated pittosporum. Whatever you choose, grandparents will be delighted to know you’re thinking of them on this special day.

Baking Day

Put children and grandparents in the kitchen together and watch miracles occur! Fudge, cookies, rice crispy treats, and any other fun delight may come of this time spent together. It’s a great way for children and grandparents to learn more about each other as well.

Scrapbooking

Let children participate in creating a few scrapbook pages for the family photo album. Grandparents will have a wealth of knowledge and stories to tell and children can ask questions to their heart’s content. Keep the family history alive by passing the stories down to new generations. Make beautiful memories that last.

Field Trip

Send grandchildren and grandparents on a field trip together to a place that indulges grandparents’ favorite hobby, like a botanical garden or an aeronautical museum. Or, let children pick the place and show off some of their favorite interests to grandparents. Either way kids and grandparents will love the time spent together.

Enjoy grandparents day to the fullest when you include children in the decision making, whether it’s choosing the flowers to send or the activity to do, grandparents will be thrilled to know how much their grandchildren value them.
